I don't think that "the Black's" will be harmed by any floods as we are 15 miles inland from the coast. We're more concerned with the predicted 100+ mph hurricane winds. Too many local people are taking this storm very lightly and are not making adequate preparations to guard against falling trees, blowing projectiles like lawn furniture, bird houses, bird feeders, garbage cans, charcoal grills, back yard boats, etc. Right now, I'm in the process of dismantling my canopy on the gazebo and removing outdoor decorative lights.
No access into A.C. is being allowed after 6 p.m. tonight. Route 72 into Long Beach Island will be westbound only traffic to route 70. Tolls on the Garden State Parkway have been suspended. No southbound traffic will be permitted past Exit 92 in Wall Township after 8 p.m. tonight so that the southbound lanes can be used for northbound evacuation routes.
