A size 000 bubble envelope costs a minimum of $1.71 postage to mail today, plus the cost of the mailer. For inexpensive chips, this is not a cost effective way to mail cheap, common, chips that can be easily replaced in the rare event that one goes missing or is broken.
I agree, more valuable chips, say $10 and up, should be mailed in a bubble envelope. Of course, if the buyer is paying $2 extra for shipping, then the item should be shipped in a bubble mailer. Just my view ...
