It seems that the new owners of the Tropicana and Carl Ichan (holder of the copyrighted name) have reached an agreement that allows a continued use of the name "Tropican" within 50 miles of Las Vegas. The name will continue to be used in Laughlin and Atlantic City under Ichan's brand.
