I think Ed's entry is an old one. I, too did research, and in fact was in the joint many years ago. I can't say with certainty there was no use of chips...can say with certainty the joint was a beer and shot place with a handbook run by and old bootlegger named Charlie something, I'd have to find my research. A good friend of mine (now gone) worked at Duro across the street. This joint was lucky to have glasses let alone card games, wheels, etc. and chips.
