There is no discrepancy yet, because the auctions have not ended. Personally, once I have a good handle on the actual "value" of a chip I want, I don't even look at an auction like the 2nd. In fact, I hardly ever look at the "Buy It Now" auctions, most of the times I specifically omit those. Ever since eBay went to zero listing fees, there has been a glut of over-priced chips listed. Every now and then, someone who does not know any better bids on an auction like that.

Back in the day, I would find some nice chips under priced in "Buy It Now" format, but there is so much junk up in that category now that it is not worth the effort to search it.

Watch where the first auction ends. I would bet Spinettis will list that chip again sometime soon and you will have a good idea of what you can expect to pay. You can also try the Advanced search feature on eBay to see if a similar chip has sold recently. I checked and one has not.
