.... Good question! To ME it is not, I will never get back what I put in. To others, it is a welfare program- those who have paid in very little then abuse the system. There are many 'totally disabled' people who park in the handicap parking and bounce out of their cars. I wonder how many are collecting SSI. Also the system is bilked by SUPPLIERS and PROVIDERS with fraudulent charges. The system is setup backward and is a target for anyone wanting some easy money just like any other insurance fraud (or over stating claims).

BUT... some who never paid DO deserve to collect. Such as survivors benefits.
