That's why many toll roads in the country have replaced toll booth collectors with EZ pass. Unfortunately many well-paying jobs are being lost ... not only due to overseas competition but at-home technological advances.

I remember not too many years ago when the POST OFFICES around the country were making introductory AOL set up disks available right in their lobby, along with the insured, registration, return receipts and customs forms. Talk about opening the door to competition! Emails have virtually replaced letters and paypal is now going to be offered in leiu of credit cards at many brick & mortar merchant outlets according to a recent TV news report I saw.

When Resorts was sold to Dennis Gomes earlier this year ... all the Resorts employees were basically fired ... and then were offered to return to their former jobs at a much reduced rate of pay... which many of the employees accepted!

Need I mention anything about teachers?
