Robert,

Yes, I had the privileged of knowing him for several years before his sudden passing. I know Georgia as well. Every convnetion the only place I spent more time was their table - I remember him always smiling and positive - he started my collections I bought the high end Las Vegas and Nevada and earlier foreign chips from him. He was just too nice to even scan all his airtight 2.50 after the exhibit. He also gave me a complete list of his collections as well as his trading lists and what was available in their table.

Off the convention floor we communicated regularly - there was one way traffic for the snappers - they were always coming my way. I don't remember much if I got some chips that he could use.

One convention I left and lost my binder of snappers - the hard copies of his scans, his price lists and his notation - Scott Hartman found the binder and could not tell whose it was - turned it over to Bob Feeney - "Its Leonidas binder" - he went out of his way to bring it back to me - what a wonderful guy Bob was.

The early years of my collection knowledge was given by him, I think he was the greatest influence on my shifting totally to snappers only collection, yes I gave up the "shotgun" style of collections and focus only on the 2.5. I can pull what I got from him anytime from my six 5 inches 3M D-ring binders of snappers. Don Lueders partially talked to me about the snappers but his focus is US only. A big chunk of my snapper collection is the foreign snappers.

Thank you for asking me about Bob Feeney. It was also in those early years of my collection that I traded/bought chips from you.

I will say a prayer for Bob F tonight, before I go to bed.

Best Regards and thank you for your kind words about the website, I am glad you kind of like it.

Leonidas
