Grab those Las Vegas Hilton chips while you can. I am also making a Nostradamus prediction that the Atlantic City Hilton will be going the same direction as the LVH sometime in the near future. Colony Capital (d/b/a Resorts International Holdings) will benefit tremendously by not having to pay Hilton franchise fees, trademark fees, fees for advertising etc... but a major downside is the loss of access to Hilton's national/international reservations system and those of us who participate in the Hilton HHonors program a resort where we can our points for free stays.
