I don't know much about these things and don't have a copy of Kregg's guide, but I see from another source that these chips were delivered to Mason & Co. in San Francisco. Is that where the confusion comes in? Mason was a distributor, so the chips would have gone from Mason on down the line and eventually to the lodge in Idaho.
