that a generic chip could have been sent to a specific card room in California, or a non-generic used in multiple locations. Do you have any facts which suggest that these chips were not used elsewhere? I have seen those palm chips shown on this board for many years and attributed as generics many times in the past. The citation to a specific HCEdwards catalog selling them as poker chips to whomever may buy them seems pretty solid evidence that they are, in fact, generic chips, even if they were used at certain card clubs.

It seems that people were merely trying to be helpful. I didn't notice anyone denying your assertions, but merely adding additional thoughts or pieces of information.
