I play poker in private clubs in Mexico City and what I am doing right now is making up sets of 12, 20 and 30 framed chip displays and offering them for sale to the players.these frames contain mainly active LV chips and I tell people that this is just scratching the surface of the hobby and they look great in playrooms and home offices. This does work as a converstation starter and gets people interested. The problem here is that I don't have an unlimited amount of current chips.
I have just floated the idea of a local chip collectors club at my favorite poker room. However most of the players think 50 dollars for membership is expensive when the magazine is in English and not everybody is familiar enough with the language. Does the CC>CC have a membership for club affiliation?
I am currently writing an article on the history of gambling in Cuba and another one on Mexico (hopefully good enough for publication in the Club magazine)and I thought I could put together a spanish language bulletin for Mexico (other spanish speaking members would be more than welcome to get a copy from me if I can get it off the ground). Any chance of getting reproduction rights for some articles from the CC>CC magazine? If I can increase the interest south of the border maybe we can get some individual members because I know that the 5th of May and September 16 are big Las Vegas holidays for wealthier Mexicans.

BTW how many members are from Mexico?
