Chip Mold 24 Suits Question

I collect different older molds. Have 158 different. I don't collect all these new plastic Chinese chips as molds.
I have put in a lot of effort in researching them.

I picked up the Ore Ida Gold rush chip at the convention thinking it was a new mold to me. Surprise, when I got home I already had the mold with a Cannon Linens hot stamp (no inserts) attributed to The Burt Co.

Back to the convention. I showed it to Jim Blanchard. He said it was not a Burt mold. The runny inserts on it suggested too much tan clay at the time the inserts were inserted. He thought it was a 1950's chip. For collectors that don't know Jim Blanchard, he was production mgr for Burt and now owns Atlantic Standard and many of the Old Burt molds.

I got two Ore Ida's and gave one to Howard Hertz. He thought it was new to him and intriguing.

No injection mark, IMO it is a clay compression molded chip. If a 1950's chip only 2 companies made clay compression molded chips, Burt and TR King. I have pretty much ruled out both companies making the Ore Ida chip.

Blanchards guess was: Some company that did compression molding took a shot at chips and failed. vbg

Question to other old mold collectors and history buffs:
Any thoughts on who actually made the chip?
