It would be a different story if the club knew of a member who took chips from a casino and altered them in a way to defraud a casino or another collector... Then I'm sure there would be concern.

Casino markers, checks/chips/tokens and any other counting/tally device have been taken from virtually every casino from when that casino first opened by either collectors or by someone who did not intend to cheat anyone.

The only histories I know of (of which none were any USA gaming jurisdiction) that actually involved the removal of plaques, jetons and chips (related to government tax laws) from a casino property have been dealt with between the parties involved and in some cases the material never had to be returned to the casino/group and the CCGTCC was ever contacted... nor was any of the information published, anywhere.

So, it's easy for us to see why this isn't really any big issue when there isn't any harm being done to a casino.

Yes, our COE is in place for a reason and it's well-followed by the majority of our members... and to the point where there are no non-CCGTCC members filing complaints against a CCGTCC member.
