"To abide by all local, state and federal laws and to assist in the prosecution of those who may violate such laws and regulations."
Geez Jerry; You might be the only member left in the club who can pass muster on the above provision of the club's COE.
Evidently, you have never violated any motor vehicle laws, have always paid the proper amount of tax due on your state or federal income tax returns, have never spit on a sidewalk, have never crossed a street in the middle of a block, or against a red light, etc., etc., etc. Good for you! I've done all those things, including even harvesting a roulette or two (but not in the past couple of years).
It's amazing to me how many people eagerly purchase roulettes for their personal collections .... knowing full well where and how they came about. Yes, I am one of those who subscribe to the "preserving gaming history" addage. Otherwise the hobby would not have known about such roulettes (as just one example) that I've pictured below.
As I posted several years ago in a similar "harvesting" thread ... some of this nation's most treasured and well-respected museum artifacts have been spirited (harvested) from other countries against the law.
This will be my last and only post in this latest roulette chip thread that has been beaten to death over many years. Having said that; I think that harvesting tournament chips from the club's own tournament in which members have been advised and agreed not to do ... is like taking something out of the club's house after being invited inside. It's a whole different standard that all members should abide by.
Like Gene says; ... "stick a fork in me ... I'm done".
