but can not prove.
(Yes I know this is a rip off of Jim P's posts)
1) Dave and Debbie Harber did a FANTASTIC job with this years convention.
There were no major problems and I enjoyed every minute of it.
2) Jay Sands is the only person to ever get knocked out twice from the same invitational Tournament. That is a real accomplishment…. LOL
3) NEVER let Smitty calculate the bill on a dinner Tab. Those that ate dinner with me that night at the Steakhouse, know Exactly what I mean. (No offence Smitty)
4) Stake and Shake is NOT the best burger I have ever had. Sure it hits the spot when you have been drinking all night, but for those of us that have had an In and out burger, a Smashburger, Five Guys Burger and Fries or Becks Prime, know what
I am talking about.
5) Sandy Stupack is one of the most interesting people I have ever met. For those that didn’t attend the Volunteers Banquet, you missed a real treat.
I sure hope we can get her to speak at a seminar or even the banquet sometime.
6) The Splashbar Awards is something not to be missed - It just keeps getting better each year and Brian does a great job hosting the event.
7) I STILL have no idea what the food tastes like at Guardunos. Way too much time spent trading personals and saying hello to everyone and never enough time to eat.
8) Never play poker with the likes of Andy Hughes, Steve P. Brian Watts and the like when you have been drinking double scotches. There can only be one outcome and that is walking away felted at 4:30 AM……..
9) Even if I did not find one chip to add to my collection, I would have still enjoyed the convention. To me the convention is about friends and I enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them every year.
10) Without the support of our Volunteers, Committee Chairs and Dealers the convention could never be what it is. I want to personally thank every one of them as they are the heart and soul of our convention and without them, none of this would be possible.
11) OK I said only 10, but I need to add one more.
I enjoy my discussions with Jim Perlowski. Jim is my friend and will always be. Sure he is hard headed and seems to complain about a lot of stuff, but Jim tells it like it is.
Jim speaks what is on his mind and I truly respect that. I sincerely miss spending time with him discussing everything from the club to politics while enjoying a cigar.
