I have a couple of thoughts on this matter...
1. 1st, lets make sure that it was a CLUB member who did it. If so, act accordingly
However, it's possible it wasn't. There were railbirds around as well. Anyone could've done it.
2. To me, to have a chip like this is like stealing the Mona Lisa. It's nice to look at, but you can't ever display it, or sell it
and it wouldn't have any value as it probably wouldn't ever be listed in any price guide as like the Bellagio chips from the heist.
3. If they are so worried about them being reintroduced, why not have new 5,000s made up and offer to sell the remaining older 5000s to us? and use the proceeds from the sale to have chips made with RFID technology so it wouldn't happen in the future?
My personal belief is yes, it was wrong, but compared to what they received from us as a group, they only lost what the chips cost to make.
To me, it isn't like they lost 2 or 3 real live $5,000 chips that could cause them to be out $10,000 or $15,000.
Again, it was wrong for the chips to be taken. They are worthless, as previously stated on here, hence the words NO CASH VALUE.
Thank you for reading..and to those who may ask...I never enter tournaments, EVER. Unless of course it would be a low buy in Craps tournament, the likes of which I've never seen , then I might ;)
