I remember many years ago being beseiged by friends who were encouraging me to sign up for a paypal account because they would receive $5 for each person who they signed up. I resisted a paypal account for as long as I could and then ebay sellers were insisting on payments having to be made via paypal ... and I succummed... with the knowledge that I could make personal payments to friends and relatives for no fee to either party... but that commercial payments to businesses would be charged the commission fee.

How many of the holier-than-thou paypal purists often pay cash to avoid paying sales tax on many service oriented businesses? It's done all the time.
