Illegal operators used many ruses when buying chips, including phoney names, mail drop addresses like the IL Owl Clubs, sent to Hammond, IN, ETC.
Goldie could have had the SPX chips sent to Hollywood, he chose to send them to Brockway. Was that to make them harder to trace? Who knows?
BTW the SPX chips would haver been made at USPC in Cincinnati, sent to Mason in either Chicago or San Francisco for hot stamping, then on to the customer.
Hubs were made at USPC until the Burt buy out in 1947.
