So I am working with Todd Barrett, looking to potentially write an article for the next issue of the magazine. However, for me one of the greatest things about this Club and it's mission in preserving gaming history are the stories, detail, and anecdotes provided by the people who actually lived it .
So my request is this: Anyone who has stories or memories of the Bicentennial, either related to Vegas, Nevada, a specific casino, or a related event? What give-a-ways or freebies? Remember being at a casino during an event or collecting a chip from the Bicentennial from the tables? Were you working there? What about a specific show, or how some place was decorated? Any sort of detail or story, no matter how great or small, is appreciated . I was not yet 3 when the Bicentennial rolled around, so I don't have a lot of memories that qualify .
Thanks for any help you can provide! The turnaround time is actually pretty short (another week or so), so if you'd like to contribute please contact me. You can post a story or memory here; send it to me e-mail; or contact me and we can arrange a time for me to call and interview you . Further, if you know someone who could contribute who might not see this post, I'd be happy for any referrals.
Thanks!
