My wife and I have been collecting all the soaps, shampoos, and everything else hotels leave for guests and bring them home with us... they are then donated to a local women's shelter. They even accept the coffee packets and the condiments. Sometimes it adds a LOT of weight to our luggage if we are on a three week bus trip..!!!

Also, our dentist is always giving samples of toothpaste and toothbrushes... and they also go to the shelter.
