Hope everyone had a great July 4th. Janice and I decided at 5:20pm July 4th to hike up Freel Peak (10,800ft) so we could watch the Lake Tahoe South Shore fireworks. Never have claimed to be very smart!! By 8:20pm we made it to about 9,000ft but had to turn back because of too much snow. This photo was taken on the way up from Hope Valley, CA. Have a video on youtube below of a small part of the hike back down. Was completely dark using flashlights to see by the time we made it back to the truck. Never saw the fireworks, but was a great memorable 4th. 235yrs of independence from Spragg...Just kidding David! If it wasn't for you, how could I even post this? Enjoy, Doug
