Whew!! Thank you for your patience! After long last I have now concluded reading (grading) the submitted replies to my Convention 2011 Find the Differences Contest! As a recap...
The challenge was to find the differences between two, PhotoChopped chip images.
I duplicated an original image onto one palette and then re-touched both, neither of which are then identical to the original and challenged the stay-behind (non-Convention Attendees) to find the differences and submit answers according to the posted rules.
There were 23 different changes between the 2 images and no one got all 23! However, those on-line fared much better than those at the Convention, as I also did a concurrent Contest at the Convention using the same images, but in hardcopy form, as part of my Convention Program ad.
I thank all the participants and look to do another Find the Differences Contest in the future, but for now, here is the Bubble Answer Picture...
And here is the Answer Sheet...
1. Chip A has small bit of white insert on the inside of the hook of the cane adjacent to the “S” of “SILVER” - Chip B does not have this spot of white insert this also causes the hook of the cane to be blue instead of white.
2. Chip B “SILVER” is moved around the chip (counter-clockwise) closer to the horizontal centerline of the chip.
3. Chip A says “AMERICA’S” and Chip B says “AMERICAN”.
4. Chip A has a star between “SILVER” and “SLIPPER” - Chip B does not.
5. Chip A has the Hat & Cane mold at 12 o’clock a Short Cane Version (SCV), while it is a Long Cane Version (LCV) on Chip B.
6. Chip B “SLIPPER” is moved around the chip (clockwise) closer to the horizontal centerline of the chip.
7. Chip A has a “,” (comma) after “VEGAS”, Chip B does not.
8. The “NEVADA” on Chip B is moved counter-clockwise around the inlay, making a wider gap between “VEGAS” and “NEVADA” than on Chip B.
9. The “LAS” on Chip B is moved clockwise around the inlay, making a wider gap between “LAS” and “VEGAS” than on Chip B.
10. Chip A has “1976” on the left side of the chip, and Chip B has “1776” on the left side of the chip.
11. Chip B the red star has the end of each line that touches the blue part of the star extended to touch the long edge of the blue line. On Chip A, the end of each red line does not touch the blue. (This counts as 5 differences.)
12. The amount of slope on the 1 of the $1 on Chip A is greater than on Chip B. This means that the top right side of the 1 is the same, but the top left side is lower on A than on B
13. Chip B the “1976” on the right side of the chip is closer to the edge of the inlay than the “1976” on Chip A.
14. Chip B the Hat & Cane mold between 4 and 5 o’clock has been flipped such that the top of the hat faces inward and the brim faces outward and the hook of the cane is likewise flipped.
15. Chip B has a “-“ (dash) between “VEGAS” and “NEVADA” while Chip A does not.
16. The red insert below “VEGAS” on Chip B is smoothed while it is jagged on Chip A.
17. The thickness (height) of the base (serif) of the “1” in the “$1” is larger on Chip B than it is on Chip A.
18. Chip B the “1776” on the left side of the chip is closer to the edge of the inlay than the “1976” on Chip A.
19. Chip A has a larger white insert (or smaller red insert) at 2 o’clock position than Chip B.
And the winner, with 22 correct answers is Allen Waterman! Congratulations Allen!! While you did discover all of the changes, I could not give you full credit on the descriptions of 2 of them (your 6 and 7). The nearest competitor, at 20 correct, was Marsha Coffey!
I have not yet finalized the prize pool, and will do so after the July 4th Holiday .
