I actually got in late Sunday night. What a great time seeing everyone. As much as I hated to see it all end, it was good to get back to work so I could take it easy.
I was there from Sunday to Sunday....and it was busy, busy, busy.
While in Vegas, I played a few poker tourneys:
The Binions Classic poker tournament (I placed 18th-3 out of the money- from a field of 160) I had my eyes on the 1st place money of $6,000, but it wasn't meant to be.
Green Valley Ranch tourney (not a good showing at all, out in the middle of the pack)
Whinner Invitational Tournament (I Placed 2nd--- Butch Reynolds put me out. My A-7 against his A-8!) Congrats to Butch.
CC/GTCC Club poker tournament- again, out in the middle of the pack. My small blind pocket 10s ran into Jim Blanchard's big blind KK. The blinds moved up so darned fast! Let's just say our dealer wasn't drinking Red Bull on her breaks. Steve P. could teach her a thing or two.
Luxor daily tournament- didn't cash
I visited just a few casinos:
Alamo
Silverton
M
Bill's
Bellagio
Sahara
Binion's
Golden Gate
Luxor
Four Queens
Flamingo
South Point (Duh)
I'm sure I'm forgeting a few.
Picked up about 170 new chips for my collection. Mostly the more common ones to fill holes, but a few are some sweet ones. Scans will come as soon as I get some energy back.
Most importantly, I got to see and spend time with a load of my good friends again.
I'd like to thank all of those friends that continue to make my life enjoyable every time I see them.
I'd like to thank all of the convention workers and volunteers that continue to make the show possible.
