Re: Poker Chips -- Bon-Bini
In Response To: Poker Chips ()

Those Bon-Bini chips were from the Bon-Bini Casino in St. Maarten in the Caribbean.
Opened in 1968 & closed in 1972.

If you're describing them to the chip collecting community, you would say that these are $5 Bon-Bini Casino chips (obviously!), red base color with 3 yellow inserts and a round white center inlay. The mold type (the X's) is called a hat & cane mold, made by Christy & Jones. (Abbreviated H&C CJ.) What look like X's is actually a top hat with a cane going diagonally across it.

These are nice chips. I acquired one a while back and really like it. Just a guess, but they would probably retail for around $25 each, if sold individually. (Less if sold as a group quantity to a dealer.)
