Below was taken from an August, 1944 article. There are a total of 78 teeth in the necklace!
"Catherine Andrews models a necklace of U.S. Army pilots teeth that were extracted by her dentist brother at one of the camps in the states. They are all cleaned, bleached, polished and match to make up what is undoubtedly the only necklace of it's kind owned by a dainty miss. Ask to see them before you shudder... they look like shells".
Catherine Andrews later became Catherine Hughes & is my mom.
