Thanks, Jim, I took the picture when we were there last May . I'm not sure I ever thought about the gold and silver placement...but I'll bet that whoever painted it did! Here's another picture I took; according to the guide, this was the original marking for the state line. I'm not sure why it was moved to the middle of the fireplace...bad measurements the first time around? (It's on the rocks to the right of the fireplace...the Nevada side...looks like Nevada grew a few feet (I think)! )
