I drove out to the Alamo Casino again last night (3rd trip). Their only blackjack table doesn't open until 4pm. The first time I got 10 chips from the table, the second time I got another 10 from the cage, this 3rd time was different. I asked the cage and they referred me to the manager. She said their policy now is to sell $20 worth of chips comprised of 10 $1 chips and 2 $5 chips. No more and no less. I guess they figure they're breaking even on the $1 chips and making $8 or so on the $5 chip part of the sale. Even then they were not thrilled with selling chips off the table. So I think that'll be my last trip out there. Oh well, not the best "casino" anyway.
