I posted this information previously.

This chip and the others I have & will be posting have been embedded in lucite boards approximately 2' x 2' x 3/4 " thick, since the mid 1950's. I recently found a very skilled craftsman who removed the chips from the board & painstakenly got them down to not much more than the approximate size and thinkness of the original chip. They do, however, have a smooth texture, not a "chip" texture. What you see as white is the small amount of lucite remaining reflected by the scanner.

The chip shown is, I believe, the only known example of what is thought to be the Harold's Cub first issue $5. It is known because I made a list of all previously unknown chips contained in the 4 boards (about 12 in all) about 5 or 6 years ago for the previous Chip Rack publishers as well as Campiglia-Wells. Hope that helps.
