Regardless, I have to suspect that notched "examples" are still few and far between and except as done by the manufacturer, makes little sense for someone to do to an actual "rarer" chip.
Kind of an interesting juxtaposition. The population of notched examples (as notched by the manufacturer) are likely fewer than un-notched actual examples (coming from the same manufacturer), but probably has a lesser value.
However, it matters not to me, as it is in my CHIPCO collection and I am happy to have it. Now my heirs, at some point, may have a different perspective. But then again, it won't matter to me at that point.
Thanks Doug, perhaps this notched example says that trying to collect the complete set of un-notched and notched examples to too difficult an undertaking!
