I agree with prior posts in this thread. In addition, Spinetti's is well known seller with a following. When I click on a chip from a seller I know, I'll often review all of his other chips up for auction at the same time by clicking on the "Seller's other items" link.
Spragg has hooked me on a few chips this way. Not necessarily looking for them, but I wind up following them and purchasing if I'm the high bidder. More competition.
On occasion, I also see competitive auctions realize a higher price than an identical chip listed in the "Buy it Now" group. Not too often, but what occurs is some potential buyers only search the active auctions, not the Buy it Now chips.
