Re: NCR...Vacation Help In Reno / Lake Tahoe

You might want to consider the El Dorado or the Sliver Legacy in downtown. There are three casinos that are connected by in door walkways - the two I mentioned and the Circus Circus. Harrah's and the Cal Neva are only a couple of blocks away. The Atlantis and the Pepermill are a couple of miles down South Virgina St and are not in walking distance of each other. I have heard good things about the Sienna but have not actually been there myself. The Grand Sierra is out near the airport - it is a huge property - was originally the MGM Grand. John Ascarga's Nugget in Sparks is also a big property - they have some nice restaurants and occasionally some good entertainment.

Harrah's and Harvey's are probably your best bet at South Lake Tahoe. The Hyatt is at Incline Village on the North Shore - I haven't been there since they took over from King's Castle which was a very long time ago. They do have some lake front property in case you want to try swimming in Lake Tahoe - way too cold for me. The Cal Neva is worth a stop just to see the inside - if they are open.

Have a great trip!!
