I first joined about 9 years ago (5679) but found that collecting from Mexico was little difficult and vacationing in Las Vegas with the family three times a year wasn't my wife's idea of a family vacation. Another factor was I only received one magazine. Fast forward 10 years, my daughter has grown (and almost moved out), our bus inesses have become w ell esta blished and thankfully there is a little money in the bank. At 53 I think I can say that I am in a position to buy some of the older, scarcer chips and hopefully even make it to this year's Convention. Given the above I felt the timing was right to get back into chip colecting and that's why I rejoined yesterday. Another factor is the phenomenal growth in poker here in Mexico (legal and clandestine).
I also agree with Archie Black, people "move on" with their hobbies.
Anyway, that's my two pesos worth.
