Sounds like Chinese bookkeeping to me.
In my personal opinion one might corralate membership numbers with major CC>CC events.
I believe the passing of Greg, along with subsequent changes to the club structure should be considered.
At that point in time I believe the creation of two major divisions of the club could account for a more rapid decline in membership.
Some stand so close to the trees they can not see the forest.
