Mark, check out the 12 inch Celestron (spelling?) .... large enough for some deep space, great for planet watching, moons around Jupiter, etc., but small and light enough to still haul around without needing a forklift. All the "Bells & Whistles" are available to do just about whatever you want. The 14 inch is even better, but it's more expensive and heavier to haul around. It's fun to impress your friends when they see Saturn's rings for the very first time!
