I would think, and I might be wrong here, that for every chip that a collector buys directly from the casino - that's money in their pocket. Mind you, not as much as what they could potentially make with a gambler at a table, but the simple fact of the matter is that whenever a casino puts out a limited edition chip, a good number of those are bought and kept in private collections, not redeemed.
Seeing as how some of the limited edition chips are a guaranteed money maker for the casinos, I would think they would push for them regardless of subject matter (our club or other events) simply for a concrete profit. In this market, I'll gladly take a small profit than a possible big loss any day.
