The new Aura Casino in Aruba finally has new chips. They opened in March, but didn't get their new chips until now.
And here is what they look like:
Nice clean looking chips, and they tell you everything you need to know, the casino name, the hotel and Aruba, as well as the denomination, of course. Nice for a casino that has not really had a name in a long time, has been using a combination of chips from previous incarnations, etc. For those who don't know. The Aura is the new name of the casino at the Occidental Grand. It began life as the Americana and had most recently been an unnamed casino, using chips from the Allegro and some with its own name, plus using old ncv chips from the Americana, the Palm Casino and generics. Now, they have their own. Wooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Anyone know who made them?
Sorry, I have no traders. I got these from someone I don't even know, who knew I collected Aruba casino chips. How nice is that??
Jim F.: I am going to upload images to the 2012 OTY site (or is it the 2011 site?). Images already sent to Charles for the Caribbean Chip Guide.
I think I can get more chips in a month or two. If so, I will let people know.
