I do understand your point and respect your opinion.
Something to consider though is that there are literally tens of thousands of transactions every day on ebay from people enjoying their "Hobby". The bulk majority of the dealers at our convention are not full time dealers. They have regular jobs in another industry and just sell a few chips once a year as their Hobby. That does not entitle any of these people to not pay the required fees or sales taxes.
I guess the way I can put it best is, everyone has a choice whether or not to use Paypal. A person has every right to say in a sales post here "I Dont Accept Paypal" Just checks and Money Orders. But when someone agrees to accept Paypal as a form of payment, shouldn't they play by the rules?
Ebay says that sales of merchandice (And that includes chips even if it is someones Hobby) is not a Gift and should not be treated as such.
I am not offended by people who contine to skirt the system and ask for Gift payments when in fact they are not. I just want to point out something that a lot of people dont give a whole lot of thought to.
Posting in a public forum and asking that someone break the rules reflects poorly on that person as well as the club (Assuming they are a member and post using a member number).
Hope you are well and looking forward to seeing you in Vegas,
Doug
