I have been researching for sometime now illegal gambling in the '40's and '50's in LaSalle, IL. At one time this central Il town was known as "Little Reno." I discoverd this picture of the raid that shut down one of the top spots "Kelly & Cawleys". If you look in the truck to the left on the picture, you can see the crap tables loaded there. My Dad once worked one of these when he was fresh out of the Air Corp. This is what started me researching. I have spent countless hours talking with people in LaSalle (including family of Kelly & Cawleys) and still no chips? I have also been doing research on another illegal joint "The Seven Gables" in Morris, IL. Have several articles there, and do know chips from this place are out there.
