We went in the place. Ultra cool old school. The bar is classic old west and the dance hall/stage area is probably a blast on Friday and Saturday night. my wife is a country music fan and it was interesting to know that George Strait's career got a big boost in this joint. Another note of interest....In the movie Michael with John Travolta, the dance scene where he attracts all the ladies in the joint was filmed in the Gruene Hall.
