When the Sahara closes next month, what happens to its gaming license? If it is able to finance a comeback and reopen in the future, will they have to go through Nevada Gaming approval process again?
I seem to recall that, on occasion, a small-town casino would cease regular game operations, but stay open as a bar or slots-only place. But they would open their table game(s) one or two weeks out of the year to keep their license current. Is that still an option?
Would the Sahara have to do that in order to keep its license current? The vision of a closed Sahara operating a couple of games inside an otherwise dark casino seems eerie. Probably not practical either.
Just wondering.
