While out in the field today, I found a 40-inch round stretched canvas in a thrift shop... Not having remembered ever seeing one that size, before; I figured I could not go wrong in buying it... and while in line to pay for it other shoppers were admiring it, also saying that they've never seen one quite like it... and when I walked outside to my car I was stopped no less than three times by passers-by asking if I was selling it. I stopped by Michaels craft shop and they had lots of canvas but nothing round in this size, and when I returned home I did a search and couldn't find anything close to the 40-inch size, with 20-inches being the largest. I even called a few artist supply houses (one being in business since 1949) and they had no idea of who might have such a canvas that size, nor have they ever heard of one... The canvas seems to be quite heavy and construction on to the frame seems to be expertly done; meaning that the staples were placed in such a way not to cause the wood to split. There is a stamp on the wood frame saying made in Mexico (in Spanish). Anyone know anything about it...? Thanks.
BTW, not one single chip or anything gambling related -- and I was at it for a soiid four hours today...
