I've not seen this past years (may not have been watching) but I've just received a promotional email for the local Casino del Sol/Casino of the Sun properties (both are operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe) regarding the Grand Opening of a High-Limit gaming area next Monday.

And by-the-way (the email continues), the casino closes at midnight (tonight) through next Monday at 8 am, in observance of Pascua Yaqui Tribal ceremonies.

Meanwhile, the other local, competing Nation (they do like the terms "Tribe" or "Tribal"), will be open as normal. They too have two properties, both called Desert Diamond Casinos. One in Sahurita, the other Tucson and they are 10 miles apart, on the same Freeway.

Anyone know if other Native American casinos shut down for religious observances? Just curious.
