A knowledgable collector won't bother with FM dollar tokens from the sixties unless they are uncirculated. Thousands are available inexpensively from the collector-sets in PL or Proof strikes. For other dollars, most won't bother with ANY that aren't uncirculated or at least AU; used tokens are ugly, because of the beating they take in the hoppers and trays. Coins that are uncirculated usually show only even surface wear; tokens get edge dings and dents all over the faces.
There are a few exceptions for tokens that are so scarce that even a used one is desirable.
