I was in Vegas last week on business and thought I would pick up a couple $1 chips from the Sahara before the close down. I went to the cage and asked to buy a couple $1 chips and got told the weren't selling any of them. Having been told that I have to get them from the tables before, I headed to a Blackjack table that was empty and asked for a couple $1 chips. The dealer called the pitboss over and I was told that they were afraid they would run out of $1 chips so they were not selling them anymore. So I sat down and got $22 in chips, put the two $1 chips in my pocket and played a hand. I got a blackjack and got two more $1 chips. I picked up my $27.50 tipped the dealer the 50 cents and cashed out the $25. But I had to go through all that to get $1 chips.
