The 5/- is an actual jeton from the club.
In a series, there could be different shape plaques for different denominations; oval, rectangle and rectangle with cut corners (rounds, octagonal and so on).
Depending on cost (what the customer was willing to pay for a series)... BG would offer a 'standard' collection w/o lunettes, and then upgraded plaques offered as 'Collection 2' which included lunettes; 'Collection 3' which included overlapping lunettes and 'Collection 4' that included tricolor plaques with tulle and lame added (this was the norm years back).
The reason why I state that I'm not "sure" is because I've seen both manufacturer's samples and movie props that almost looked like the real thing, with the exception of a city/municipality name that wasn't exactly spelled as the actual locale, or a casino logo that wasn't quite the same as an original... and I've seen props/samples that had the same exact graphics as the original pieces used, but were 'uniface'
I've never seen any high-denomination plaques from Le Cercle... and I suggested that Barry post here in hopes of bringing some forward.
