~~~ to Summer on Majorca and play in the beach resorsts east of Algiers each year. The cars were small back then, too... just a they were in the early-60s when staying in Munchen, and visiting Napoli and Palermo every few weeks... I was dating a Gypsy who spoke 15 languages -- and sold tens of thousands of postcards between Munchen and Roma. As well-off as she was, she drove a Fiat.
It suites them well today as it did back then as it suits us well driving what we do, today... and when our cars were virtually twice the size back then... and having fins as if they could fly...
This is what I drove one year; in 70 or 71, I think... and I bet Americans don't even know what it is.
