I just received word from Ralph Strandwold's daughter of Ralph's death this afternoon. Ralph will best remembered for his accumulation of old clay chips and ivories, and best remembered by good friends in the hobby such as Dale Seymour, Dr. Kenneth Craig, Dr. Allan Myers, Travis Lewin, Steve Passalacqua and Tom French, and many other long-time collectors of ivories and clay chips. Funeral arrangements are still pending, but I'll keep you posted. Our hobby is now less one of our most earnest and passionate collectors of historic chips.
