I gotta tell ya... I am sure that the rooms would be alright and everything BUT I went there last year in the days before the convention. I wanted to park the truck and have breakfast there and then walk it off on Freemont street and attend Doug's auction at the Vegas Club. I always use the Valet and they gave me the ticket and I went inside to have breakfast. The food and service was good and I walked through the casino from one end to the other just to check out the action andthe people. I headed down Freemont Street checking out all of the joints and when I got to The Vegas Club, I found the elevator but I got stuck between floors and it would not let me out!!! Eventually I got the doors to open and took the other elevator to the 2nd floor to join the auction. Afterward I played at 4Qs & Fitz and by the time I was done it was late afternoon so I decided it was time to get the truck and head back out on the strip and get back to my hotel because it was almost happyhour and I do not drink & drive. OK well... so what you say? I get back to the El Cortez and go to the valet and there is nobody coming out to help me... eventually somebody comes out to get my ticket and goes off to get the truck. I am waiting and waiting and I am not talking about 10-20 minutes... I am talking about 40-45 minutes and I am really starting to get ticked off here! So I say to the guy "Hey where is my truck?" and he gets on the phone yelling at someone he called "The new guy" and I have about had it! It was over an hour before my truck pulls up squeeling the tires as it pulled in. When the guy gets out and says to me "Mr. that is one fine truck you have there." I am just happy to get it back and took the compliment, got in and left. I did not realize until I was almost to my hotel that I was 1/4 tank less than I had when I got there and about 100 miles more on the odo!!! I will not be going back for more.
