My wife and I have been staying in downtown Las Vegas for the past 12 years or so. We have stayed at The Fitz, Four Queens, Las Vegas Club, and the Golden Nugget. The Golden Nugget is the nicest one there but the others are also very accommodating. The rates are also very reasonable. The gaming offered Downtown is as good as any Strip casino, IMHO. The security is second to none, Security and Las Vegas Metro regularly patrol the area. I have never had any problems in the area and feel safe. The Valet parking is easy to get to and is always open for Hotel guests even if it's full for visitors (At The Fitz anyways). It's exciting and fun and many different casino's are easily within walking distance. Downtown might not be as fancy as some of the strip Hotel/Casino's but we will never stay anywhere else on our visits to Las Vegas.
